9. Communication¶
Stay connected with buyers, sellers, and clients through messages and notifications.
9.1 Messages¶
The messaging system enables direct B2B communication between fabricators on the platform.
Access: Tap the Messages icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Message List¶
- Conversations are listed with the most recent at the top.
- Each conversation shows:
- Company name and avatar
- Last message preview
- Timestamp
- Unread message indicator (badge)
- Linked piece (if the conversation started from a marketplace listing)
9.2 Starting a Conversation¶
From a Marketplace Listing¶
- Open a piece's detail page.
- Tap Contact Seller.
- A new conversation is created, linked to the piece.
- Type your message and send.
From the Messages Screen¶
- Go to Messages.
- Tap New Message (+ icon).
- Search for a company or user.
- Start the conversation.
Conversation Features¶

9.3 Group Conversations (Pro)¶
Pro Feature
Group Conversations require an active Pro subscription.
Create conversations with multiple participants for team coordination or multi-party discussions.
Creating a Group Conversation¶
- Go to Messages.
- Tap New Message (+ icon).
- Select Group as the conversation type.
- Add participants by searching for companies or team members.
- Set a group name and optional avatar.
- Tap Create.
Group Features¶
- Custom avatar — Upload or choose an icon to identify the group.
- Add/remove members — The group creator can manage participants.
- Notifications — All members receive push notifications for new messages.
9.4 Archived Conversations¶
Keep your message list clean by archiving old or inactive conversations.
Archiving a Conversation¶
- In the Messages list, swipe left on a conversation.
- Tap Archive.
- The conversation moves to the Archived section.
Viewing Archived Conversations¶
- Go to Messages.
- Tap the Archive icon (or scroll to the bottom of the list).
- Browse archived conversations.
- Tap a conversation to reopen it — receiving a new message in an archived conversation also restores it to the main list.
9.5 Live Feed (Pro)¶
Pro Feature
The Live Feed requires an active Pro subscription.
The Live Feed shows a real-time stream of activity across your company — new messages, status changes, project updates, and team member actions — all in one chronological view.
Accessing the Feed¶
- Tap the Live Feed icon from the Dashboard or navigation menu.
- Events update in real time without needing to refresh.
What Appears in the Feed¶

Tap any feed item to navigate directly to the related content (conversation, project, piece, etc.).
9.6 Push Notifications¶
Stay informed with real-time push notifications on your device.
Notification Types¶

Enabling Push Notifications¶
- When prompted on first launch, tap Allow to enable notifications.
- If you previously denied, go to your device's Settings > Remnant Finder > Notifications and enable them.
9.7 In-App Notifications¶
View all notifications within the app:
- Tap the bell icon in the top navigation bar.
- Browse your notification history.
- Tap a notification to navigate to the related content.
- Unread notifications show a dot indicator.
Notification Center¶
The notification center groups notifications by:
- Today
- This Week
- Earlier
Swipe left on a notification to mark it as read or dismiss it.
9.8 Notification Settings¶
Customize which notifications you receive:
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Toggle on/off by category:
