2. Marketplace¶
Find the perfect stone remnant or list your own pieces for sale.
2.1 Browsing the Marketplace¶
The marketplace is the heart of Remnant Finder. Here you can browse remnant pieces listed by fabricators across the platform.
To browse pieces: 1. Tap the Search icon in the bottom navigation bar. 2. Browse pieces displayed in a grid or list view. 3. Scroll to load more results.
Pieces are displayed with: - Primary photo of the remnant - Stone type (Marble, Granite, Quartz, Quartzite, etc.) - Dimensions (length x width x thickness) - Price and pricing type (per piece, per sq ft, negotiable) - Location of the seller - Condition (new, used, leftover)
2.2 Searching for Pieces¶
Use the search bar at the top of the marketplace to find specific pieces:
- Tap the search bar.
- Type keywords such as:
- Stone name (e.g., "Calacatta Gold", "Black Galaxy")
- Stone type (e.g., "marble", "quartz")
- Color (e.g., "white", "grey")
- Dimensions (e.g., "48 x 24")
- Results update as you type.
2.3 Using Filters¶
Refine your search with advanced filters:

To apply filters: 1. Tap the Filter icon next to the search bar. 2. Select your desired criteria. 3. Tap Apply Filters. 4. Results will update to match your criteria. 5. To clear all filters, tap Reset.
2.4 Viewing Piece Details¶
Tap any piece card to view its full details:
Photos¶
- Swipe through all uploaded photos.
- Tap a photo to view it in full screen.
- Pinch to zoom in on details.

Seller Information¶
- Company name and logo

2.5 Saving Favorites¶
Save interesting pieces to review later:
- Tap the heart icon on any piece card or detail page.
- The piece is added to your Favorites list.
- Access your favorites from More > Favorites.
To remove a favorite: - Tap the heart icon again (it will un-fill). - Or swipe left on the piece in the Favorites list.
2.6 Contacting a Seller¶
When you find a piece you're interested in:
- Tap Contact Seller on the piece detail page.
- A new conversation is created in the Messages section.
- The conversation is automatically linked to the piece for reference.
- Type your message and tap Send.
The seller will receive a push notification about your inquiry.
Tip: Be specific about your requirements — mention the project, timeline, and whether you need delivery or pickup.
